Skipper Tim Ryan

Joining the team in 2010, Tim Ryan over a 12 year period has accumulated a very extensive background working the mecca game fishing and aquatic playgrounds of the Australian East Coast including Port Douglas, Cairns, Lizard Island, Townsville, the Whitsundays Islands and Port Stephens.

Tim has winning game fishing tournament successes at the Port Stephens Inter-Club Classic (the largest tournament in the southern hemisphere) and also at the Yorkey’s Knob Tournaments in Cairns.

Tim has a passion for all things aquatic and piscatorial and is keen to show clients the splendours of the Great Barrier Reef whether it be snorkelling, diving, cruising or chasing down that fish of a lifetime. He will ensure your adventure aboard MV Joe Joe will turn into a long life memory.

Deck Hand / Relief Skipper

Damian Colette comes with an engineering background and has been working on MV Joe Joe since 2007. Over the past 8 years he has been working on game fishing boats from Queensland, the Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea.

Damian is very experienced in all styles of fishing including light/heavy tackle, popper, jigging, line and fly fishing. He has been a part of many tournament winning teams in Australia and overseas as an angler, crew member and skipper.

Damien comes with a wealth of experience and plenty of enthusiasm to ensure your trip aboard Joe Joe is a memorable one.

Chef

Dave Maunder is your personalised Chef whilst travelling aboard Joe Joe. He will provide you with a fine dining experience throughout your trip offering an array of gourmet cilinary delights and beverages. Dave only uses the finest local ingredients - local seafood, tender cuts of North Australian beef, and fresh fruit and vegetables that only days before were soaking up the sun themselves on the Atherton Tablelands above Cairns.

Dave's background is very impressive having worked extensively in Australian and European top class restaurants as a head chef. He has also worked extensively on white boats in the Mediteranean and has mastered the art of fine dining and service whilst travelling on the water.

Dave also loves cruising on the blue highway and the adventures it provides. His genuine service and attention to detail will definitely add the magical touches to your trip.

Managing Agent / Bookings

Our managing agent Lynton is based in Port Douglas and has been involved with the local boating and fishing industry for over 15 years. Lynton owns the Fishing Port Douglas website, operates the local fishing magazine The Line Burner and is a journalist for QLD Fishing Monthly, ABC Fishtalk Radio, Prime Radio QLD and the FNQ Independent Newspaper.
